I have been blessed to play varsity basketball since eighth grade. I worked my way into a starting role by my freshman year where I was awarded offensive MVP. By my sophmore year, I was averaging twenty-six points per game and made the Trimont Invitational All-tournament team. After my sophmore year, I was able to try out for the all-state team and make it. I played for the team that summer at the University of Illinois for Junior Nationals where our team came in third place. At the beginning of my junior year, I realized that basketball was not all about scoring the most. I was averaging twenty-one points per game but was able to see a significant increase in all my other stats. During the season, I was able to get the Bishop G.D. Peters Invitational Tournament MVP, Smoky Mountain Invitational Tournament MVP, and the Nationals All-tournament team. During the so-called "offseason," I attended Bob Gibbon's Evaluation Clinic. I later was invited to attend 5 Star Basketball's Super Session in Orlando, Florida for four of the hardest days of my life. Throughout my basketball career, I have been thrust into leadership positions. I try my best to lead by example, and I get along with just about everybody. On or off the court, in game or doing individual workouts, I always go 100%. I have had to be picked up off the floor at the end of a few games because I physically had nothing left; that is also how I train. I had the opportunity to be captain my sophmore year and continued to be my junior year where I have many times been called the floor general. It has been one of my dreams to play college basketball. I want to continue to get better and help whatever team I am on to get better to the best of my ability. I am open to private, public, or Christian schools. The size is not a huge deal to me either as long as the academics are not bad. As long as I am able to go to class and play basketball as well, I will be just fine.
