I started playing organized basketball at the rightful age of (11) eleven years old; when I first stepped onto the court competitively my dream was to play at the collegiate level. Thru my father and good coaches along the way I have acquired a pretty high and consistent Basketball IQ, which enables my particular skill set to continuously develop. When I am on the floor I try to be an extension of our coaching staff in being a born leader for all my teammates to rally around when things do not go right. I always encourage my teammates by assisting those players that are having problems with some aspect of our team concepts along with striving to be the hardest worker on the team. In keeping a positive belief toward all the coaching staff’s decisions allows my peers an excellent outlet when situations may overwhelm them which keep’s the team very unified. Off the court I have applied myself in such a way academically that my GPA has improved every school year since entering the high school level. In being an IB (International Baccalaureate) student I am required to perform (240) hours of community service upon graduating. These services have been served in many capacities ranging from assisting with youth activities, non-profit organizations, assisting the homeless, along with being a peer counselor. I would like to attend a college or university that can continue to push me academically along with developing my full basketball potential. I am opened to all options in finding the right institution to match my burning desire to achieve in the classroom, spiritually challenging, along with competing at the highest level on the court. My hope is to continue in being a great role model for my peers to emulate, and make my parents and love ones proud of what I have accomplished.
