The purpose for me going to college is to extend my education. My goal is to major in athletic training. I love working with athletes and being around sports. I also love playing sports myself such as basketball and football. I have been participated in basketball and football beginning with recreation, middle school and high school. By playing basketball for so many years it has taught me to be a team player, competitor, fundamental player, and more importantly a passion for the game.
What makes me a good candidate for a team is the energy I bring to the team. What I mean by energy is the fight, tenacious will power, and just giving 100% of my abilities. I am always willing to learn more, and I am coachable. Academically, I am willing to work hard in class because it is very important to fulfill my dream goal of becoming a athletic trainer.
As a athlete in high school my skills in basketball have improved each year. I started playing varsity basketball my freshman year. My sophomore year I started at power forward and worked hard each year to become a better team player. My junior I maintain my starting position. Each year we went further into the state playoffs and now my senior year I am currently a captain of the team and I am the leading scorer/rebounder on my team. Our team's rank is higher in the state than the previous years. I feel that is due to my four year experience of hard work, coachable, team chemistry, and the love for the game. I know that I can play at the next level.
