Personal Statement

My name is Charlie Riccardi and I’m a 6’1”, 18yr. old Senior at St. Joseph Regional High School (Hammonton) New Jersey. I currently play basketball in both the shooting guard, and point guard positions. I’m a self motivated and energetic individual who believes in hard work. I’m a very good team player who communicates well with others. I maintain a high level of activity in academics, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I also play AAU club basketball and have received individual recognition for 1st place, in both 3 point shoot-out and free throw competitions. My coaches would tell you that I have a strong work ethic and that I can make open shots around the perimeter, take the ball to the basket, and have the ability to pull-up in between both of those which makes me difficult to defend.  I plan to continue to work hard and attend a college university where I can obtain a degree in sports medicine while being able to play basketball at the highest competitive level possible and where I can make an immediate impact on the team.
