Collin Crispino '17 Recruiting Profile

I believe that I am a great candidate for your team because I have a passion for basketball.  I started playing basketball in kindergarten in a recreational league and moved on to a travel team in 6th grade.  Now as a Junior in high school I lead my team in assists, steals, and force turnovers. There are many things that I like about basketball. I love the team atmosphere.  Being part of a team makes you want to do the best you can to help your team succeed.  It teaches you how to work as a team and shows you how all of the parts need to work together to be successful.  It also teaches you discipline and gives you a sense of personal satisfaction knowing that you worked as hard as you could to help your team succeed. I feel that basketball will always be a part of my life and would love to referee and coach in the future.  The teamwork skills that you learn help you in all areas of your life.  My experience with basketball has given me skills that I have used while volunteering for a buddy ball program at my school for special needs children.  Some of those skills are a can do attitude, teamwork, being able to work hard under situations that can be sometimes stressful and doing it all while still enjoying myself and having a smile on my face.  These skills will stay with me as I grow and really come into play in college and when I enter the workforce.
