***UPDATE***
During the 2018 season, the team has accomplished many things. We went from 23-5 to 28-0. This team was the definition of hard work and dedication. Most importantly, this season had taught me many things. For example, it made a more humble person.
Also, instead of being state runner-ups, we are now named the NYS Class C State Champions.
It was a much better feeling at the end of the 2018 season as opposed to the 2017 season.

Going to the state final in 2017 as a sophomore, has so far been the highlight of my varsity basketball career. Even though we did not win, it influenced me a lot. For instance, it made me a lot more mature, knowing that a lot of people I did not know were going to be there. It gave me a chance to keep my head high, and let my personality stand out. Also, being on the varsity team in 2015-2016 as a freshman, my teammates last year had a huge influence on who I am right now. They made me a better player, and even a harder worker.
I became interested in this sport since I have been little. In 6th grade and 8th grade, when Lake George won the 2013 and 2015 state championships in New York, I knew I wanted to be just like the kids on those teams. I decided to push and got to be a state runner-up in 2017.
Throughout my 2 years of a varsity basketball player, I have learned a lot about myself. I have learned that I am very competitive. Whenever I get out on the court, I want to win and I want to win by a lot. Also, I learned that I have a lot of confidence in myself. For instance, I like playing in the fourth quarter, I feel like that is when I want and need to play my best. Lastly, I believe I have noticed that I am smart on the court. When I am open, I will shoot, when I am not, I am a willing passer.
For high school, one of my biggest academic goals is to keep an overall average of 88% (B+). To me, school is the priority over anything else. Friends and family always push me to do my best in school.
So far, I did not have to overcome any obstacles to get where I am. I have not had any injuries, or recent struggles that could bring me down.
I possess skills of being a leader and being an open listener. I have the ability to step up when people need help, and when I need help, I ask people for it.
