2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My primary goal is to obtain my college degree in Business Management and Engineering. I would like to obtain another goal of playing college basketball. My main dream is to play professional basketball, this could be in the NBA or in the European Basketball league while having my college degree as well.
I was nominated for the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists Award of Excellence this past July of 2016, in Boston, MA.
I like being a mentor to young kids in AAU Youth basketball teams or local gyms. I strive to be a good student-athlete which will hopefully lead me to a career in the basketball sports arena or sports related field.
I am a first degree black belt in mixed Martial Arts which gave me the self discipline and focus to maintain an 3.6 GPA in high school and stay in good shape which makes me different from some students my age. I have the full support of both my parents for maintaining good grades and getting to play basketball since first grade. I have played sports like soccer, baseball, and basketball my whole life. I have played sports at Shaker High School in Latham, NY as a Freshman and JV Basketball, and JV Football. As a Junior, I played Shaker High School Varsity Basketball. I remain a leader and a team player as my student/athlete goals are obtained. I am a coachable player as a Point Guard.
My whole life I have watched my mom and dad struggle with their health but they always had time for me to obtain my goals. They have taught me not to take life for granted and go the distance with it. My passion is getting a college degree and playing college basketball. I have learned from both of my parents the strength and will to obtain my goals.

I have volunteered with Coach Jamil Hood this summer 2015 at Green Tech High School, Albany, NY. I will be helping boys and girls below 10yrs old with basketball skills and reading books.
