I’m interested in attending a college that will be challenging academically and also give me the opportunity to play basketball. I want a college that will offer me the tools necessary to be successful in the business world and also to have a positive influence in our society. I started Martial Arts training (Tae Kwon Do) at the age of 3 and trained until I was 11 years old. At that point I was training with students 2-4 years older than I and had to make a decision to either train 5 days a week or play basketball. I chose basketball. My Martial Arts Training instilled in me the importance of having respect for your opponent, discipline and if you don’t work hard you get knocked out. These qualities have helped me become an A Student and very coachable and dedicated basketball player.
