Personal Statement
I have been working very hard in school and on the court to improve in both areas. I hope to be recruited to a college where I can play basketball and receive a quality education. I come from a very disciplined family that emphasizes honesty and doing the right things. My parents have instilled in me that education and faith are critical to success on and off the court. This has helped me keep all my activities in perspective. I am a quiet leader on my team and try to give good effort and am always respectful of my coaches. From an athletic standpoint, I am working on skill development to support my 6'7" body. My height is an advantage that I try to exploit on the court. I have been focused on good fundamentals from a young age so I am unique by being the tallest kid in my school while being one of the best outside and free throw shooters. Academically, my high school is a college preparatory HS and is much more demanding than our local public HS. Although very hard I am becoming a better and more responsible student and am proud my grades improved from last year. My mom and dad have been great parents and I know that hard work and treating people right is important.
