Mark Richards '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'5" small forward/ wing weighing in at 209lbs from Orangeburg, New York. I have been playing basketball for 9 years and I have been playing AAU basketball for about 5 years. I received First Team All-County and First Team All-League in the State of New Jersey in January 2010. My skills have improved every year overall and I will continue to do what it takes to become an elite athlete. I have worked on my skills so that i could become a more versatile player overall. I am a hard worker on the court as well as in the class room and academics play a big part in my mind because basketball can only take me so far. An Education will take me farther. It is my dream to play for a college or university with a great athletics program and college atmosphere that will fit in with my personality. I like to work and play hard and I like to have fun when it is time to relax. Location is important. I would like to attend a school within a close proximity to the city or to the town/ community, mainly the east coast but I am always willing to try new places. A program that can offer a financial aid package will be helpful to me and my family. My goal is to pursue a program in Law, Sports Management, business, or engineering.
