Personal Statement
My name is Matt Klein and I am 6’2” and weigh 180 lbs. I attend Saddle River Day school in Saddle River, New Jersey. My graduation Year is 2014. I am a hardworking student and know that academics are an important part of my goal of playing basketball on the college level. I play shooting guard but I am versatile and have the athleticism and defensive mindset to guard multiple positions. I am very hard working on and off the court. I have a great relationship with my High School coach Bill Shoener. As a Junior last year I won the defensive payer of the year award for my school. In addition I currently play AAU basketball and am in a High School fall league to improve my skills and maintain my conditioning during the off season. I also have a personal trainer (Adam Brown at Downtown Sports) who I worked with on my shooting in the offseason. I will seriously consider and evaluate all opportunities from any institution that will allow me the opportunity to play the sport I love at the college level.
