Ryan Parks '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Parks. I am about 6'1", 170 pounds and getting bigger. I go to Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have always been able to keep up with the fastest players I have played with. I have always played a year up from my actual age group because I was never held back. I am surrounded by excellent players at Gorman and I always try to learn from them. My most important accomplishment would be helping Gorman to win the Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I am a very dedicated athlete. If you tell me I cannot do something, I will show you I can. I always work as hard as I can giving 110%. I take schoolwork very seriously; it is a priority. I love competition and a challenge. I push everyone to their max and try to get everyone better. I am looking for any college that wants me. I will play any spot and do as I am told. My parents are everything to me and I want to make them proud. I have not decided on a major but my interest is in finance and Pre-Med. My overall goal is to play at the highest level of competition I can. Anywhere I go I will be happy and play as hard as I can for them. My goal is to be a contributing factor; if the team needs me in other roles, I will be there without question. I really believe I have mastered the fundamental and court vision that is necessary to make the move to the next level, and now I am eager to compete with the other players who have already reached the next level and who will challenge me to expand my abilities on the court. I am not only looking for a team that is a good fit for my current skill set, but one on which I will have the opportunity to grow, to help the other guys on my team really shine, and to contribute to a sport that I love and I am so excited and proud to be a part of.
