Personal Statement
- As an honor’s student athlete approaching my senior year of high school my collegiate goal is to find and ideal college that offers a great academic and athletic experience.
It is my aspiration to play collegiate basketball at the highest division possible. My goal is to be an important aspect to my team. I am a good candidate for any college team because I bring positivity. I am always looking to encourage others. I am a leader. I always bring people together during good times and bad. I am very competitive and will do whatever I can to help the team win. I think what makes me different from other recruits is I try hard to make my teammates look good. I am a pass first player that likes to get my teammates involved. I also feel like I can play with anybody. I can adjust my game to different situations. I am not a one-dimensional player. I specialize in passing ball handling and overall great feel for the game.
I first gained interest in basketball when I was 7 years old. I began developing my skills as a Junior Knicks player. Then I played with the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Mustangs while in elementary school (4th- 5th grade). I played for St. Raymond’s School from grade 7th to 8th and help lead my team to win the Archdiocese CYO championship during 8th grade.
I have always been the underdog throughout my 10 years of playing basketball. However, being the underdog has always motivated me to work harder then others and I strive to be on top.
Separate and apart from basketball I am an honor student. I take advance placements courses. Although challenging at times, I manage to balance varsity basketball and school. I am interested in majoring in computer science and business management I have aspirations of having my own business one day. Therefore, I plan to learn as much as I have to reach my goal.
With all that said, I strongly believe that there is a college/ university in need of what I have to offer and will ultimately be the right fit to help me reach my goals.
