Personal Statement
I never thought playing college basketball would be an option for me. Now, I see that might not be the case. I know that my current grades are not where they need to be, but I am working hard to change all of that this year. My goal, like so many others, is to play at the next level. The one thing I have that not many people do is not just the ability to play at that level, but the absolute love of the game.
I wake up early all summer to play basketball on the court at the elementary school down the road from my house. By early I mean 5:30 a.m. Typically it is just me, shooting, working on my game. Once our local rec center opens, that is where you will find me, looking for others to play with. Now that school is started I am at the rec for 2 hours before I head home to start my homework and have dinner. If I could I would play or shoot all day. There is nothing in this world that I want more then to play this game.
Not one person on your team will work harder to achieve a winning program. I played on a team where our record as 0-17. I don't know how to quit. I will know every play, and I will know how to read my opponents. I will study their programs and know where their weaknesses lie. I will take advantage of those weaknesses. I will also know my team. I will know where they are, how they respond to situations and I will be an asset to any team because of this.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little. I look forward to hearing from you.
