Personal Statement
While education is important, one thing I have enjoyed and excelled in is sports. Basketball and baseball have been hobbies of mine, but basketball is my passion. I currently am on the varsity basketball team at my school. I am 170 pounds and 6 ft., 3 inches tall, bench-pressing 240 pounds. I am an all-around player 1-5; my greatest positions are1, 3 and 4. While on the court my strengths are: driving left and right, right hand dunk, and jump shots. I possess several skills helpful for the game including dribbling well, strong drives to the right and left, and I simply understand the game of basketball. I believe these skills are important because in order to become a great player you have to be a good athlete. Being a good athlete not only means playing well, but also understanding what it means to be a part of a team, perfecting your craft, and being coachable to show you know the game of basketball. I would appreciate the opportunity to have you all observe me play because I am a versatile player and will keep you busy in your notebook.
