Personal Statement

My collegiate goal is to play on a college basketball team where I can learn and grow as a player, contribute to the success of the team, and make a significant impact on the program, while pursuing a meaningful degree to help me succeed later in life.  As a point guard my strengths include my leadership skills; quickness; ability to take care of the ball; vision of the court; unselfish mentality; and my shooting range.  I am a 4-year starter on the varsity basketball team and have maintained a 4.0 GPA in school.  My parents have taught me how to respect and be mindful of others, how to sacrifice and be mentally tough, and to set high academic and athletic goals for myself.
