My name is Peyton Bechtold and I am a member of the class of 2018 at Big Spring High School in Newville Pennsylvania. As the oldest of four siblings I have learned valuable lessons in sharing, sacrifice and teamwork which have helped me to be a strong team player and leader on the basketball court. I am a hardworking young man who values family and loyalty.
Year round I dedicate my time to improving myself and my basketball skills by attending basketball camps and clinics and working out at Planet Fitness in Carlisle to increase my strength, agility and speed. My goal is to play basketball in college at the highest level possible for my talent and abilities. My hard work has paid off as I have started every game for my varsity team since my freshman year, increased my scoring, rebounding, steals and free throw percentage each year and hit my 100th career three point shot this past season. My hobbies include hiking, kayaking and spending time with my family and friends. I am also certified by the American Red Cross in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR and AED.
Football is the other sport I enjoy playing and I am currently a wide receiver and safety for my varsity team.
As well as being a hard worker on the court, I strive to do my best in the classroom. I am preparing myself now to become an excellent college student athlete. I have taken 9 honors courses and have started 4 college courses through an early to college program with Penn State Mont Alto and my High School. My current GPA is a 3.85 on a 4.0 scale and I am ranked 53 of 229 in my class.
