My name is Jacob Prouty and I am a class of 2019 student at Willow Lake High School. I have been a contributing member of the Clark/Willow Lake boys basketball team since my eighth grade year. I started varsity as a sophomore and helped lead our team to an 18-4 record. This past season we made it to the South Dakota state tournament where we place second with a 20-6 record. My rolls on the team consist of leadership, primary ball handling, and I lead the team in scoring and assists. I come from a very competitive family and high school program which stress teamwork, perseverance, and selflessness.
Outside of basketball I am quarterback of our football team, a state track medalist, play trumpet in the band and sing bass in the choir. I also am on our high school student council, member of the FFA Chapter, treasurer of our church youth group, and president of my 4-H club and 4-H Junior Leaders. Our family lives on a farm in northeast South Dakota on which we raise cattle and crops. My goals for college are to pursue my two passions: basketball and agriculture. I believe I am a hard working, coachable, and ambitious leader who would contribute and benefit from playing collegiate basketball.
