Luke Hatcher '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Luke Hatcher. I have been playing basketball for as long as I can remember. I have always loved the sport and I always give 100% to the game.  As a freshman in high school, I made both the high school basketball and baseball team.  After my freshman year, I realized that basketball was my passion and I decided focus solely on basketball and my goal of one day playing professionally.  However, my first goal is to play at the collegiate level.   I was late joining a club team and did not start  AAU basketball until after my freshman year when I joined the Alief Clovers 15U team.  After only one season on the team, I am now a captain on the 16U Elite team and have grown tremendously as a player and leader.  These are lesson that not only serve me as a basketball player but help me in all I do off the court as well.  

Not only do I strive to grow and be the best basketball player, I want to grow academically as well.  I am looking for a college where I can make an impact on the athletic program but also have the opportunity to continue to grow my academic studies.  When I am playing basketball, I am always the most passionate and best teammate on the court and I live my life off the basketball court the same way.  I know with my hard work and commitment to being the best I will be a great addition to your team.
