Lane Murphy '17 Recruiting Profile

I have always dreamed of playing college basketball and have aspired to become the best athlete physically and mentally possible.   I would consider myself a "hard nose" player that is willing to put in the hard work both on and off the court.  Both hard work and commitment are engraved into my core character and I give 100% every time I step on the court.  I am willing to play any role my team needs me to play and am committed to pushing myself and my team to achieving success.  For me, this means being a student of the game on and off the court and being committed to pushing past yesterday's success.  I am only 6'4" tall and recognized that I need to work in my ball skills to prepare for the next level.  The gym became my second home and I was dedicated to breaking the boundaries of being the "big inside man" for high school ball.  I worked day and night on my ball handling and outside shooting, becoming a proficient ball handler for my team.  I am committed to putting in the work it takes to excel in school, on the court and in life.  "Work hard and become a leader, be lazy and never succeed."
