David Hogue '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is David Hogue and I reside in Mansfield, TX. I currently hold the athletic guard position for Mansfield Summit High School.For the last season, I played a part in leading the varsity team to a 11-21 record. I averaged 15.0 PPG, 6 Rebounds, and 3-4 Assists through the 2015-2016 season. I have also played for various AAU teams throughout my basketball career. Most recently, we were invited to play in the "Fab 48 Tournament of Las Vegas", where we unfortunately fell just short of the championship game. I carry myself as a leader on the court, and as a level headed player, I'm known for providing relief to my teammates in intense situations. Understanding that there is no I in TEAM, I am willing to do whatever it takes for our team to be successful. Since the tender age of 5, basketball has always been my sport of choice. Overtime, I have gradually developed and grew to become a standout basketball player in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. By birth, I'm a left handed shooter, but I also work well with my right hand in the paint. Standing 6'3, my vertical leap peaks at 38 inches. Knowing that nothing lasts forever, I value and respect the importance of an education. I work equally as hard to be successful in the classroom as I do on the court. I currently boast a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and recently scored a 1080 on the PSAT. It would be an absolute privilege to have an invitation to demonstrate my skill-set, and be extended an opportunity to lead your program to success when I graduate in June 2017. On the court, I'll bring you leadership, knowledge of the guard position and overall game of basketball. Agility, versatility, and a tremendous amount of effort all come second nature.
