Personal Statement
I am Noah Chatman a 6'5 Forward from Hendersonville Tennessee. I have been in love with the game of basketball since I picked up a ball at the age of seven. I have put numerous hours into the gym over the years. I've put a lot of hard work, sweat, blood, and tears into this game. I love the game of basketball so much that I am determined to take every moment in the gym seriously and use the time in there to my advantage. I also have a habit of being the first one in the gym and the last one to leave. Ever since I was a freshman, I get to school two hours before class starts simply to shoot and work on my game and then on days I do not have work I would stay in the gym as late as seven on days. I realized my sophomore year when I was not dressing varsity and sometimes not starting JV that I had plenty of work to do. I began to take every time in the gym as an opportunity to get better. Through hard work in the gym my junior year, my first year ever being on varsity I started every game there was to start and led my team. I am a very busy student, however, I happen to manage my time very well. I have a 3.9 GPA throughout my high school career, while being involved in my youth group at church, as well as working up to thirty hours a week at Kroger. I never feel stressed over situations on the court or off it. I realize that in life adversity will come, but I am a fighter and I am prepared for whatever life has to throw at me. I am an extremely humble kid, who is respectful and treats others the way I want to be treated. My work ethic in the classroom, on the court, and in life is impeccable. I have high standards for myself and my teammates, I am a vocal leader on the team and will always stand up for my teammates. I am the type of leader that will have my teammates back without being on their backs. My teammates in high school and AAU respect me and expect a lot from me. I believe through my hard work that I can earn a full ride scholarship to play the sport that I love as well as continue my education. I appreciate your time in reading this and hopefully we can be in touch.
