Personal Statement
My name is Barr Ellenburg and I'm from Nashville Tennessee. I am striving to do everything I can to further my education by playing college basketball. I have had the goal of playing college basketball for as long as I can remember and I'm doing everything in my will to make that dream become a reality. I am a sophomore at Middle Tennessee Christian school where I have attended since the start of freshman year. I spend time helping out at the inner city schools of downtown Nashville delivering food and other essentials. I am very involved in my youth group at Harpeth Hills church of Christ where I have gone on missions trips to Haiti but also done simple things like make Maji boxes for the children of Honduras. My parents have been instilling the characteristics of good character since I was born. My parents have always pushed me to do the next right thing and to be the helping hand without being asked. If a school does give me the opportunity to play college basketball I can promise you two things, You wont have to worry about me getting in trouble whether its in school or outside of it, and I know I cant always be the best player but I will work as hard as I possibly can to be the best and do what's best for the team. After I get out of school I'm not completely positive but I would like to either go to law school or become a basketball coach, but it just depends on where ever the Lord calls me to go and what He wants me to do. I think I will fit in well wherever I go for college because I know basketball is not a One man sport so there for I always put the team first and do what's best for the team.
