For those who know me, they know I eat, sleep and breathe basketball. Not because I want to win, although I do enjoy that, but it is because I truly love the game. The smell of the ball, the feeling of walking onto the court and feeling the energy of the game and that amazing feeling when the final buzzer sounds and the points on the scoreboard reflect we have won the game. Or, looking up at the scoreboard and losing by one but knowing that my teammates and I left everything on that court, we gave it all we had. Basketball has taught me a great deal. It has taught me discipline, how to be consistent, how to tune the negative out and focus on the game and has taught me that no matter how good your game is, attitude is everything! I want to be able to shake my opponents hand after the game, look them in the eye and know that our mutual love and respect for the game makes us brothers not opponents. I tell you all of this because I want you to catch a glimpse of my passion, my love for this game. One of my favorite quotes is, "You never truly lose the game, you just run out of time".
