First off I want to thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement. I consider myself a late bloomer. I never played basketball until I was in 7th grade. I liked the game when I started and I played my 8th grade. Year and continue on into Highschool. I've always been the tallest in my class so it seemed natural for me to be in basketball. At first basketball wasn't natural to me but I loved it and wanted to learn more. I still have so much to learn about this game and I want to learn. My stats may not impress but I hope my spirit will. I have the drive to learn and I will show any coach that takes a chance on me that I will work hard to show them that they made the right choice.
I work hard and stay focused on my studies and I will do the same for the game of basketball. I want to be a better person and a better player.
I have a very supportive family that is behind me 100%. My oldest brother is 20 and was diagnosed with autism at the age of 5. He makes all my games along with my family. My family and I have traveled all over the United States and that has given me experience and the desire to see more of our country. I'm open to attending any colleges even if they are outside the great state of Texas.
My love for the game of basketball drives me to want to learn more. I will be attending the Texas A&M men's basketball camp this summer (2016) and will compete in the US Select Spring Showcase in Ft, Worth May 1 along with playing summer league basketball with my teammates the month of June.
Thank you for your time.
