I love basketball and my goal after college is to become a basketball coach at the college level. I'm contemplating a business degree to supplement my goal.
I am a good candidate because I come in having a good knowledge of the game of basketball. I am a good listener, very coachable and respect the coaches. I am willing to work hard and put in what it takes to be successful. My senior year I am a team co-captain and my first goal is to make the team better. My main individual physical attributes are speed/agility and good hands/passing, while my greatest mental attribute is my basketball IQ. I play on a 6A, very competitive, varsity squad in Texas as well as AAU ball.
Not only am I respectful to coaches, I am also respectful to my squad and devoted to making us a better unit. I bring my teammates up by coaching them through mistakes instead of showing frustration. Regarding athletics, I have a love of the game and that includes almost all sports. I believe in staying fit and eating right to help me stay balanced and strong.
I have been taught to put academics first and foremost but have learned that a balance of all that I do is what works best. I have pushed myself by taking several AP classes and some electives that have not been easy for me but knew they would be useful in my future. I'm confident that I will make a great asset to your team.
