Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Jarred Bowman; I am a freshman at Southeastern State University. I played shooting guard/point guard at Sherman High School in Sherman, Texas. I have been playing basketball since I was in the kindergarten. I am 100% committed to basketball. While playing basketball I have played in countless tournaments. I am very interested and committed to continue achieving success in academics and basketball. I have what it takes to play basketball and excel in academics in college. I am willing to work hard and do whatever it takes to get there. I am committed in whatever I do and I take basketball and academics very seriously. I strive every day to get better at basketball. Education is very important to me. Ideally, I would like to be in a high academic environment at a larger size school. I would like to stay close to home, but will travel for the right opportunity. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process. I would be willing to travel farther to a school with less out of pocket expense. During my college life I plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in information tech with a minor in business. After the first degree I want to pursue getting my master's and doctorates also.
