Ryan Pauley '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Pauley and I am in the class of 2014 at Judge Memorial Catholic High School. I am 6’6”, 190 pounds and have played every position on the court from point guard to center on my high school team.

In June 2013 I attended a camp for the Air Force Academy’s top prospects and was 1 of 3 players of the 20 prospects who received a verbal offer from the Coach following the camp. My versatility was of most interest to the coaches. After going through the Academy’s application process, I was offered a position at the Air Force Preparatory School with a commitment from the coaches to play at the Academy the following year if I met the requirements of the Academy and the NCAA. Although it would have been a dream to play in the Mountain West Conference and attend the Academy, I realized I couldn’t commit to the military aspect of the program. In January, I informed the coaches that I could not accept a position at the prep school.

I am now hoping to play basketball for a D1 or D2 program.  I am the type of player who likes to get his teammates involved each time down the court. I would like to attend college out of state, but would also consider staying in Utah for the right opportunity. My goal is to take the skills I have learned on the court and apply them to real-life situations after graduation.
