Personal Statement

My name is George Brumbaugh. I am a Senior at the Covenant School, a Christian prep school.    I have been playing basketball all my life.  I started with rec leagues at age 5 and then moved to an AAU program at age 7.  As I have gotten bigger (I am now 6’5” and 160lb), my position on the court has evolved as well.  I started as a point guard due to my strong knowledge of the game and ball handling skills; however, my coaches have moved me to shooting guard and small forward because of my size and ability to play multiple positions.  I am often matched against the bigger, stronger players as I have an overall toughness and determination not to get beat.  Awards received: Sophmore year: Covenant Classic All-Tournament team award; Junior year: Covenant Classic MVP and All Tournament Team, 2nd team All VIC.  I am a hardworking, dedicated, coachable team player.  I work well with others and I am called upon as a team leader. I look forward to pursuing  basketball at the collegiate level.  I would like to go to a school that values academics as well as it does athletics.  My goal is to be successful both in the classroom and on the court.

Check out my hudl account too.
