Nolan Ivey '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Nolan Ivey. I am a true Shooting Guard with solid ball handling and lock down defensive skills. I currently attend Middleburg Academy, a rigorous college preparatory High School in Middleburg, Virginia. My strong work ethic, hustle, and team spirit make me an effective team leader, mentor, and motivator on and off the court. I pride myself on being a unselfish playmaker that can run the floor, finish at the rim, and handle pressure situations with poise and maturity.

I love the game of basketball and enjoy bringing my passion and enthusiasm to the game. Throughout the process, I embrace the details of being a totally committed student-athlete. I continuously work hard to improve my self-awareness on and off the court, plan ahead academically, eat well, and being a living example to not only my teammates but to anyone who I come in contact with during my life experience. The driving principle behind my athletic achievement is the fulfillment for me that comes from contributing to the team's success by always giving 110% and leading by example on and off the court while making sure I remain approachable and coachable.

I look forward to playing competitive basketball at the next level. The ideal situation for me is a combination of admirable academic with a strong athletic desire to build boys into men that will immediately contribute and grow my future. I envision passionate professors offering collaborative coursework, mentoring, and real-world experiences.

I plan to pursue a degree in Alternative medicine and eventually become a Naturopathic Doctor. My passion lies in serving my community through natural remedies and being able to improve people’s lives in which drives my desire to become a better person on and off the court.
