Personal Statement

My name is Kellen Blake I am a  6' 3" combo guard from Arlington VA. I attended Washington-Lee High School and I played on the freshman (1), junior varsity (1) and varsity basketball (2) teams. I graduated from Washington-Lee in June 2013 with a 3.44 overall GPA.  I am listed with the NCAA College Eligibility Center and I have 3.62 or 3.68 core course GPA, depending on how the NCAA calculates my AP and IB courses, according to the 22 core courses that I completed at Washington-Lee High School.  I have played basketball all of my life and I would like to continue playing at the college level. I have also played AAU basketball for the Virginia Phenoms and Washington Bisons in the summer and participated in various major tournaments throughout the United States.  Things I do well are rebound, shoot the 3-pointer, defend (man and team defense), and drive to the basket, things that I can improve on are ball handling, shooting free throws and creating my own shot on the perimeter. I am currently attending the Rise Post Graduate Prep Basketball Academy in Glenside, PA, (just north of Philadelphia) for the 2013 - 2014 basketball season.  Please feel free to contact me anytime either by email or by my listed phone number; thank you for your consideration.
