Sports and coaches have influenced my life greatly. I’ve been playing sports for as long as I can remember and each sport (Basketball, football, lacrosse) has taught me something whether it was how to be a better player or a better person. What I like most about basketball is the opportunity to take on challenges and learn and master new skills. Many coaches have told me I am a very coach-able player. I believe it’s because I pay attention, I want to learn, I want to please my coach, and I want to be a contributing member of a team. It’s hard to see what my life would be like without sports because they have had such a great impact on me. I try my hardest on and off the court and I am looking for a college where I can meet my athletic and academic goals. Years of playing basketball and football have taught me many things, including how to work hard and work with a team. I feel these things have helped prepare me for what life has in store for me when I leave high school.
