Joshua Foote '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was 6 and fell in love with the game right away. I have always played with older kids. My AAU team is a grade ahead of me and this has helped my game. I am a very competitive individual, and I have always had dreams about playing in college and pro, I  want to play against the best and believe this is a unique experience. I am a very determined individual and love to play against good competition. I have a lot of confidence in my game and I take a lot of pride in stopping the person I am playing against. I have a very strong work ethic, I'm a coachable player.  I am well rounded, I can handle the ball, shoot and pass.  My defense is good because I have a lot of heart and I take pride in stopping my opponent, in addition I can rebound well for my position. My biggest weakness at this time I will say it is my body since I play with older players, but I will get bigger, stronger, faster and jump higher with my training and as my body develops, this will help my game and my low post defense. I think the thing that separates me from everyone else is my heart and competitiveness. I am willing to put in the work to be the best and my competitive nature really helps me to work harder to beat out the person ahead of me. My heart is shown when the odds are against me, I am willing to do anything it takes to succeed and I am willing to over come all obstacles. I will match up with anyone and will go all out and do my best and help my team win. I have my family's support to help me achieve my dreams.  I am an honest individual and have strong moral values, I believe in giving back to others and impacting my community.  My strong work ethic and commitment will help me succeed academically.
