Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to attend college to play basketball and pursue a business degree that will prepare me to be a successful entrepreneur like my parents. I committed to play for Virginia Post-Grad Academy for 2021-22 after graduating from Hylton High School in June 2021. I graduated with a 3.138 GPA while taking several AP classes and enrolled in a very intensive Center for International Studies and Languages (CISL) program. My strong work ethic in developing my basketball skills through intense personal training in addition to team practices, my willingness to learn from my coaches and teammates and help make my teammates better, and giving 100% effort on defense and offense for my team at all times makes me a good candidate for college coaches seeking an athletic, play-making shooting guard that can also run the point, score on all 3 levels and play tough defense.
One of the highlights of my basketball career to date has been winning the VISAA State Championship as a freshman with Christ Chapel Academy in 2018. Other highlights are being on the 2nd Team All-District as a sophomore, tying my high school's all-time made 3 pointers in a game record with 8 made in my sophomore season, and consistently being in the top 3-point and scoring average leaders in my region. Ultimately, I'm looking forward to becoming a successful student-athlete in college and helping my collegiate basketball team win championships.
