Personal Statement
My name is Isaac Roach and I am a six foot one combo guard. I start as a shooting guard for both Drive Hoops AAU and Brattleboro Union High School’s varsity team. This past year I experienced success on both of these teams. During the varsity season I was recognized with a Marble Valley League All Conference second team selection as well as being nominated to join the Athletic Leadership Council at my school. Highlights from my AAU season included winning two Zero Gravity tournaments and playing in the Zero Gravity National Tournament.
On the court, shooting and my ability to see the floor are two of my strongest assets. I am also a good rebounder from the guard position and a hustle player on defense. I have worked hard to become a strong ball handler that can break defensive pressure without over dribbling.
In preparation for my senior year I have been training intensely during this off-season. I started crossfit this summer and I have been lifting with the high school football team. At the end of my junior season I began private shooting sessions with my varsity coach before school and I have trained with Adam Harrington of ASPIRE basketball for the past two years. In addition, I have continued to put in hours of individual work to improve all aspects of my game.
I look forward to attending a college with a hard working and focused basketball team, as well as an academic environment that is individualized and engaging. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
