Personal Statement
My name is Mitchell Wold. I am sophomore at Selah High School in Selah Washington. I am '5'9 and 130 pounds. I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. It has been my dream to be able to play at the collegiate level. Last season I was the starting point guard on the varsity squad as a freshman. When I am on the court, I am a floor leader. It is my role to make my teammates better. I take special pride in my defense. I believe that it takes great defense to win games and championships. In my opinion, "you get out what you put in." My work ethic is a key factor in becoming better. I am the first one to get to practice and the last one to leave. My athletic goals are to be an integral part of the team. Be a contributing player in any aspect that the coach requires.
My current career objective is to become a Physical Therapist. This is a relatively popular major for athletes, but I feel the connection to sports and I want to continue to be involved in athletics. I currently live in a small community, so attending a big university would be a new experience for me. Ultimately, I look forward to an opportunity to play for a college no matter the location or the size if the fit is right for me and also the team.
