In addition to the athletic opportunities that basketball presents, I also find the camaraderie very rewarding. I like to help maintain high spirits among my team mates by keeping everyone on a positive note. We play better if we stay relaxed, and we stay relaxed when we maintain a positive perspective in life.
Freshman year I won the "Bomber" award for 3 point shooting during the season. This year I am striving to score a much higher percentage of my points in the paint. My goal this year is to lead my team in points, blocks and dunks (the blocks and dunks serve to get the crowd involved for us, building the positive spirit). Next year I really believe that my younger brother, Joey, and I can lead our team to State!
Aside from basketball my passions are mathematics and research. I hope to publish my current research project on the effect of whey protein supplement on strength augmentation among adolescent male athletes.
My longer term goal is to attend an academically excellent college with a strong basketball program.
