Personal Statement

As a player coming from the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Saipan, I'd consider myself as one of my home's premier products. I'm not exactly a typical division one athlete, I stand at 6'1 and weigh 175lbe. I mainly play Point Guard when I'm on the court. Because I'm not exactly physically gifted, I like to pick the mental part of the game. I look for the open man and pass the ball at the right time. Although, I strive to become a better true point guard, I'm a well- rounded scorer. My best offensive trait would most likely be my ability to handle the ball, my ability to pass the ball, and lastly my jump shot. Defensively, I treat that aspect of the game the same way. My main mission defensively is to give my man the hardest time on every possession. Make him dribble on baselines and sidelines and generally give him a hard shot. Personally, I'd also consider myself as a leader in any team I play in. I feel like being vocal on the court but also staying humble, provides positive energy that my other teammates can feed off. Being loud, humble, and compassionate are some other traits I can offer to teams.

Last summer , I traveled to the Philippines to play with top high school programs out there. Programs like Adamson, and Letran Catholic offered me full scholarships. I'm so thankful for the offers; although, my dreams of playing collegiate basketball of any division in the United States still persist. Being exposed to greater talent enabled me to work 10 times harder on my game. Getting exposure is real tough especially coming from the islands. Regarding training, I focus mostly on agility, stamina and my jump shot.

Academically, I've been taking school a lot more seriously. Ever since I gained knowledge of this whole recruiting process, I realized how vital grades are. Nevertheless, school has always been very important to me and my family. If I'm not working out, then I'm usually studying. As far as desired majors, I find great interest in Computer Science and Videography.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
