Matt Rudig '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matt Rudig. I am 6'2" and weigh 185-190 pounds. I play football, basketball, and track & field. I earned second team all conference in football, was third in conference for shot, seventh in discus, 2nd in 4x4 and 3rd in 4x1. My favorite sport is basketball. It is my passion, and I practice as much as I can each day. I am blessed to go to a school where the gym doors are always open for those who want to practice, and I take full advantage of our facilities. It has always been my dream to play at the college level. I have been working hard for many years to be able to compete at the higher levels. I will always give 110% and will do my best to make everyone around me better as well. In basketball as a junior, I earned first team all conference honors, second team all area, and second team all city for Madison. During my junior year, our team went to state, and it was the best experience of my life so far. It is a great feeling when all of your hard work pays off through success and winning. I am open to almost any type of school, whether it is D1, D2 or D3. I would just like the opportunity to continue my basketball career and help a team build a successful program. I believe I can make an immediate impact as a freshman, but will work hard to earn any playing time and be an excellent practice player in the process to make my teammates better.
