Personal Statement
My first motivation and love for basketball came from dad who passed 9 years ago. His passion for basketball gave me my motivation it also, helped me to reach not only my achievements but my goals as well. As a freshman I played JV and Varsity with limited playing time due to being a rookie as a Sophomore I was the 6th man on Varsity. Then I became a Varsity starter my Junior and Senior years that's what helped me grow as the player I am today learning from those experiences. My Junior year we had a new coach who expected more from me as a person and as a team player. He taught me to become mature and to utilize my team more. With this I learned to become coachable as well as to step outside the box of my abilities as a player. The highlight of my high school career was beating our rival team (twice) and taking the traveling trophy.
I am very grateful to be part of a wonderful basketball program where we were 3A West Regional Champs my Freshman year, Junior year we placed 3rd at Regionals, and my Senior year 3A West Regional and State Champs! Over the last four years I've learned the meaning of dedication and perseverance an how important it is to know to accomplish what your working towards. Not only on the court but in the classroom as well! One important aspect I learned was adapting because I had to be more then just a scorer. I truly do believe I have the talent and character to play at the next level and I'm ready!
