Personal Statement
~~I started hitting some golf balls with my dad around age 6. It was very sporadic and mostly just for fun with him or my grandfather. Golf became more serious for me in middle school after attending the Tavistock Cup in Lake Nona, Florida. I began playing for my school, tournaments and seeking instruction. I love and admire the game of golf and have dropped 15 strokes from my game in the last two years. My ultimate goal is to attend college pursuing a sports management degree and continuing my golf career. I am a good learner with self-discipline. I am a strong academic student in the National Honor Society. I am respected by my peers and teachers as I won our school district Character Award as a 9th grader. I am a hard worker. I set goals and work to achieve them. I started a pressure washing business to earn enough money to buy my own first car which I purchased April 2014. I am one of the youngest individuals at age 14 to earn the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts. I enjoy hanging out with my youth group at church and being a part of our many outreach opportunities. I take part in roughly 60 hours of community service each year in activities like visiting nursing homes, making items for the prison ministry, and Habitat for Humanity. My hope is to continue learning academically, spiritually and on the golf course. I would love for college coaches to help me learn what it takes to be an impact player at the collegiate level. I am looking forward to my junior year on the links.
