Personal Statement
I started playing competitive golf at the age of 8. As a sophomore last fall, I won the Arkansas 4a State title by 4 strokes. I started the day 3 over the first 3 holes but finished only 2 over for the round. My junior year, I lead our team to a State Championship and tied for second in the Arkansas 3a State championship and my senior year I placed first in the 3a State Championship and lead my team to the state title. I am a four time first Team All State member, three-time ASGA High School Overall Tournament qualifier, and two time Conference Medalist. Playing golf has afforded me many opportunities and quality friendships. I have the utmost respect for the game of golf and enjoy mentoring younger players.
My dad has been a great influence on my golf game and I have been working with him for the past four years as a lead assistant for US Kids Golf tournaments in Little Rock. My favorite activity was participating in a short game clinic for younger golfers. It was exciting to see their improvement and I believe my high golf IQ and coaching helped them. I am excited this spring to assist my school’s middle school golf team.
My academic goals for high school are to maintain a 4.0 GPA and graduate valedictorian. Playing golf on the collegiate level is a high priority for me but attending a college of high academic caliber is my goal.
I love competing at a high level no matter the circumstances. I believe my short game is the best aspect of my game and would love the opportunity to make a difference for your program!
