August 2013Personal Statement
My number one dream and goal is to play division one college golf. I believe I can achieve this goal by working hard on the course, in the classroom, and in the gym. I have always loved golf since I started playing at a very young age, but that did not stop me from playing other sports as well. I am not just a golfer, I am an athlete who plays golf. I played four sports: golf, basketball, baseball, and soccer all the way through my eighth grade year. I still play varsity basketball for my high school, but only since the summer after my eight grade year is when I decided I wanted to play golf at the next level. I began playing tournaments the summer after my eighth grade year. Although I may not be as successful as some kids in tournaments, I think I have tremendous potential. While some kids my age have already hit their ceiling, I have not. My experiences in other sports give me a tremendous advantage over other kids. I believe my love and dedication to the game will help me to succeed in my goal of playing division one golf.
