My biggest personal goal is to always get better. In everything I do, I always fully commit and put the best attitude forward that will allow me to succeed. This is shown through my exceptional GPA and my tenacity/hard work in the game of golf. On a more specific note, this will be maintained through a combination of time management and self-discipline. I have a very specific practice schedule that highlights short game drills as equally as it does with my long game. This routine transitions into the mental side of the game as well, I take pride in stating that I'm one of the few junior golfers who can have a great time on the course, no matter how I play that day. Keeping my mental game sharps allows me to play my very best. I carry that same attitude in everything I do. For example, I really care about my community and this is shown through the initiative I have taken with an organization that my friends and I started called "Lines in the Lagoon". This is a tri-county junior fishing tournament that is centered around raising money for the Indian River Lagoon (dying estuary where I live), and raising awareness for the importance to act now. When I noticed the diminishing health of the lagoon, I knew there had to be something I could do. After two years of hard work and dedication, we (IRLIL) raised over $100,000 for organizations such as the Ocean Research Conservation Association and Harbour Branch research. I believed that the starting of this tournament best represents the person I truly am and how I am different than every other athlete/student applying for your school.
