Personal Statement
First and foremost, I am an Academics Scholar and Athlete. I've always loved sports and learned at a young age that I had a passion for golf with a natural talent. I feel that I am a leader and I always encourage and assist my fellow teammates. A strong character that I possess is perseverance. At a young age I took up Mixed Martial Arts. I was determined to obtain the highest-level black belt. After 4 long years of training, and many countless hours of practice, I passed the 3-hour physical test and received my black belt. That day seemed to me the hardest thing I have ever done. To this day, I think about how hard that was and how it motivates me in every aspect of my life. Most recently I competed in the 91st Men's Dixie Amateur and have played in it the past 4 years. After making the 3rd round cut, I shot a 3 under 33 on the last 9 for a final day score of 74 to finish T-58th. I really enjoy competing not only in the Junior ranks, but I like to test my game against college level players. My high school career, I have been named MVP at North Broward for 4 years. I am a two-time First Team All-County Sun-Sentinel selection and First & Second Team Selection from the Miami Herald.
Academically, I have been named to the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society and Rho Kappa (History). Currently my GPA is 4.40 and I have been on the Honor Roll every trimester for the past 6 years. I want to not only receive a quality education, but I want to play at the highest level and win a National Championship. One of my goals is to one day play on the PGA Tour and I believe with my perseverance and determination I will obtain this goal. I would be a great asset to any team based on my desire to always improve and learn, both in the classroom and on the golf course. I am very well driven to excellence, and I am very determined to do what it takes to succeed.
