Personal Statement

My name is Parker Stone, and I am a junior at Savannah Country Day School located in Savannah, Georgia. My school is one of the strongest schools in the southeast academically, which is fully preparing me for success in college. I am extremely dedicated in the classroom and take my academics very seriously. I am passionate about school athletics.  I play point guard for the varsity basketball team, and I have served as the captain of the golf team for the past two years.  Although I enjoy basketball, my true passion is golf.  I have been hooked on the game since my Grandfather introduced it to me as a small child. There is nothing I would rather do than play golf.

I believe that I have an advantage over other golfers when it comes to competing because of my strong work ethic, commitment and determination. I love to compete, not just in golf but in everything I do.  I hate to lose, and I will always do my absolute best.  My focus and determined mind set enables me to stand out from others. My ultimate goal is to play at the college level in golf and compete against great competition.
