My father has taught me many important things in life, one of them being golf. Many categories fall under this subject, such as, hard work, determination, perseverance, respect, time, and remaining calm. This year is my time to prove not only to you, but my community, and myself what I am capable of. I show up to practice early everyday, and stay until the holes fade out of my vision. My father once told me, " If you put the time and effort toward your goals, the outcome will be much worth the time spent. Overcome and you will succeed. Take pride in your work and dedicate yourself to everything you do." When I was younger and had a rough patch with my game, my old man would point me to the article " What it takes to be No. 1" by Vince Lombardi and report back to him what exactly I understood from it. To this day, the article hangs in my room and I live by it in all that I do. I have been raised to work hard and I will continue to do so for the rest of my time. I have a drive that can't be stopped and will strive to be the best in all that I do. I have set my goals high in order to better myself. These goals consist of breaking the course record at my home course (Rupert Country Club) by the time I graduate, win our state championship, and one day play on the PGA Tour.
I plan on getting my business degree, and going into PGA Program. And taking all the classes I need to pursue my dream.
