My collegiate goal is to find a college that fits me best as a student and an athlete. I would like to attend a school that pushes me to be the best student I can be, along with a golf program that pushes me athletically. My ultimate goal is to become a professional golfer. I have known this since I hit my first golf ball at the age of two. Growing up with older brothers, who also played golf, encouraged me to learn how to play and to learn fast.
Swinging since the age of two, I have had the opportunity of playing in many tournaments nationwide. From these experiences I have learned about myself as player and how I manage myself on the golf course. I know I can never count myself out of a win no matter how my round is going. I never give up. I am a player who keeps his emotions in check at all times. If I hit a bad shot, I know my next one could be the best shot I have ever hit.
I love competing in tournaments and performing to my best abilities. I know every tournament I am in, I can win. I love being in pressure situations and I rise and conquer the occasion. There is no greater feeling than winning a tournament and knowing I earned it. I play golf because I have a love for the game, I love to work towards my goals, and because I enjoy it.
Outside of golf I love to spend time with my family and friends. My family and friends mean the world to me. They support me through everything and they are always there for me. I enjoy always being active and playing backyard football and soccer with my family and friends. Working out and living a healthy lifestyle is very important to me to help perform better as an athlete.
I am a golfer who knows what it takes to reach the next level. I know I have the ability and work ethic for college golf. I am a good team player. I want to play well not just for myself, but for my teammates. I've had the opportunity to serve as team captain since my sophomore year and learned how to support my team with words of encouragement and push them to be better. This motivates me to practice twice as hard to show them what it takes to be successful.
The most important lesson I learned from my experiences is that I can do anything I set my mind to. Every time I practice, I practice with a purpose. I am always trying to improve so I can be ready for my next tournament and achieve my goal of being a collegiate golfer.
