Matthew Maskell '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing golf for two years. I am a junior in high school and played on their varsity golf team this year. I had a successful year and qualified to participate at the Maryland State tournament. I also competed this past summer in several tournaments with the Junior Tour of Maryland. I thoroughly enjoy the game of golf and I'm always striving to do my best through training and competing. My desire and goal is to play golf at the college level.   My current plans are to continue to train and play golf, so I can continue to improve my golf skills.

Although I'm fairly new to the game of golf, I've been a quick learner, due to my strong passion for the game.  I am a team leader with a strong work ethic, which is evident in the time I devote to practice and training.  I'm respectful to my coaches and trainers and am very coachable as an athlete.

As I'm always striving to improve my golf game, I also do the same at the academic level.  I'm a good student, with a good GPA and am currently taking several AP classes to prepare myself for college. 

I want to attend a college where there is a good fit for my academic studies and also a fit on their golf team.  My hopes are to compete at the highest level of golf competition suited for me and achieve my academic goals
