Personal Statement
Who I am today has much to do with the loving and caring family I have. My parents have always been there to support me, and my younger brother is a gift of a best friend for life. I honor my family, who God has clearly blessed me with.
I became interested in golf at a very young age, less than 2 years old. My father has enjoyed the game of golf for many years, and my mother has always supported him in his love for the game. We had a lot of time at the golf course as a family, my dad teaching me and my brother, as my mother walked along ready to support us in any way. I began to get involved in Junior Golf Leagues and from there golf became an important part of my life.
Through the game of golf I have learned the importance of etiquette, manners, patience, sportsmanship, and perseverance. The sport has been a lot of help to my parents while wanting to teach me to become a gentleman.
My academic goals for high school and for college are to always put forth my best effort and achieve success.
We all encounter obstacles in our lives, and my parents taught me to always get up and try again. The strength of my family and the will they have nurtured within me, helps me to get past any obstacle. This has also been a great tool for me in golf! I do not dwell on the bad shots, instead I think about it, learn from it and move on.
I am a very friendly person who has the ability to work with anyone. I am a hard worker, have great respect for others, and I love to enjoy every moment.
